providing that a permit is required for certain gaming
activities in Baltimore County; providing certain
specifications and requirements for the issuance of such a
permit; providing certain penalties for certain gaming law
violations in Baltimore County; repealing the limitation on
the number of certain gaming activities which an
organization may conduct in Baltimore County; providing that
bingo activities in Baltimore County will continue to be
governed by a certain provision of law; clarifying the
provisions of Article 27 of the Code that regulate bingo and
instant bingo in Baltimore County; clarifying language and
rearranging the listing of counties; renumbering; and
generally relating to certain gaming activities.

BY repealing and reenacting, with amendments,

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That the Laws of Maryland read as follows:

Article 27 - Crimes and Punishments

252.

(m)(l) For purposes of this section, the term "bingo"
[includes] DOES NOT INCLUDE the game of instant bingo.

(2) IN BALTIMORE COUNTY, THE GAME OF INSTANT BINGO IS
GOVERNED BY THE PROVISIONS OF SECTION 255 OF THIS ARTICLE.

(a) THE PROVISIONS OF THIS SECTION APPLY IN THE FOLLOWING
COUNTIES:

(1)  ALLEGANY COUNTY;

(2)  ANNE ARUNDEL COUNTY;

(3)  BALTIMORE COUNTY;

(4)  CALVERT COUNTY;

(5)  CAROLINE COUNTY;

(6)  CARROLL COUNTY;

(7)  CHARLES COUNTY;
