May 29, 1984
The Honorable Benjamin L. Cardin
Speaker of the House of Delegates
State House
Annapolis, Maryland 21404

Dear Mr. Speaker:

In accordance with Article II, Section 17 of the Maryland
Constitution, I have today vetoed House Bill 861.

This bill alters the annual salaries of the chairman,
commissioners, administrator, and attorney of the Prince George's
County Board of License Commissioners.

Senate Bill 559, which was passed by the General Assembly
and signed by me on May 29, 1984, accomplishes the same purpose.
Therefore, it is not necessary for me to sign House Bill 861.

Sincerely,
Harry Hughes
Governor
