AN ACT concerning
Vehicle Laws Trailers and Semitrailers - Motor Carrier
Road Tax
FOR the purpose of providing that certain trailers or
semitrailers having a gross weight of a certain number of
pounds or less shall be classified as nonfreight trailers;
altering the maximum gross weight limit for certain
nonfreight trailers or semitrailers; providing for certain
fees for certain nonfreight trailers or semitrailers;
altering the maximum gross weight limit for certain farm
trailers or semitrailers; providing for certain fees for
certain farm trailers or semitrailers; providing that
certain trucks towing certain trailers or semitrailers for a
commercial purpose are not subject to a certain road tax on
motor carriers; and generally relating to the classification
of, registration fees, and maximum gross weight limits for
certain nonfreight and farm trailers and semitrailers.

FOR the purpose of altering the definition of the term
"commercial motor vehicle" which determines the vehicles
that are subject to the road tax for motor carriers;
including any vehicle that has seats for more than 14
passengers in addition to the driver within the definition
of "commercial motor vehicle"; excluding certain vehicles or
combinations of vehicles of a certain weight from the
definition of "commercial motor vehicle"; making stylistic
changes; altering the definitions of nonfreight trailers and
semitrailers and of freight trailers and semitrailers;
