(M) THIS SUBTITLE DOES NOT APPLY TO A FLEET PURCHASE OF
FIVE OR MORE MOTOR VEHICLES.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall
be construed only prospectively and may not be applied or
interpreted to have any effect upon or application to any new
motor vehicle purchased or delivered prior to the effective date
of this Act.

SECTION 3. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall
take effect July 1, 1984.

AN ACT concerning

CHAPTER 787
(House Bill 1342)

Charitable Organizations

FOR the purpose of revising, clarifying, and adding certain
definitions; providing for the inclusion of fraternal
organizations, fire fighters, police, or other law
enforcement organizations in the definition of "charitable

organization" under certain circumstances; revising

registration application procedures, recordkeeping, and
reporting requirements for professional solicitors,
fund-raising counsel and certain charitable organizations;

providing for refunds of contributions; requiring

professional solicitors and solicitors to disclose certain
information; limiting the percentage of gross fund-raising
receipts payable to a professional solicitor; making certain
stylistic and technical changes; prohibiting professional
fund-raising counsel from receiving compensation from a
charitable organization under ' certain circumstances;
altering the registration fees and amount of bond to be
posted for professional solicitors; and generally relating
to charitable fund-raising activities.

BY repealing and reenacting, with amendments,

Article 41 - Governor - Executive and Administrative

Departments
Section 103A(b), (f), (g), (h), and (i), 103B(a) and (b),

103C(a), 103D(a) and (c), 103G, 103-I, 103J(a), (d),

and (e), 103K, and 103L
