DEFENDED IN ANY CIVIL ACTION BY THE LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICER'S
EMPLOYER AS IF THE INCIDENT HAD OCCURRED IN THE OFFICER'S
JURISDICTION.

(C) A LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICER WHO IS INJURED IN TAKING
ACTION UNDER SUBSECTION (A) OF THIS SECTION IS ENTITLED TO
WORKMEN'S COMPENSATION, DISABILITY, DEATH BENEFITS, LIFE
INSURANCE AND ALL OTHER BENEFITS TO THE SAME EXTENT AS IF THE
INJURY HAD BEEN SUSTAINED IN THE OFFICER'S JURISDICTION.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall
take effect July 1, 1984.

CHAPTER 767

(House Bill 940)

AN ACT concerning

Alcoholic Beverages Licensees - Citizenship

FOR the purpose of repealing the requirement that in Howard
County a new applicant for an alcoholic beverages license
provide a sworn statement to the Board of License
Commissioners or the clerks of the court that the applicant
is a citizen of the United States; and repealing the
requirement that in Howard County the applicant provide
information, if relevant, as to where and when the applicant
was naturalized.

BY repealing and reenacting, with amendments,

Annotated Code of Maryland

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That the Laws of Maryland read as follows:

Article 2B - Alcoholic Beverages

56.

Except as otherwise provided in this subtitle, every new
application for a license shall be made to the board of license
commissioners or the clerks of court upon forms prescribed by the
Comptroller and sworn to by the applicant. Every application
for a license shall contain the following statements:
