538.

(A)  IF APPLICATION IS MADE BY THE LICENSEE BY JANUARY 1,
1985, AND ALL OTHER REQUIREMENTS OF THIS SUBTITLE ARE MET, ANY
LICENSEE HOLDING A CURRENT MASTER ELECTRICAL LICENSE, ACTIVE OR
INACTIVE, ISSUED BY A LOCAL LICENSED SUBDIVISION OF THIS STATE,
SHALL BE GRANTED, WITHOUT EXAMINATION, A MASTER ELECTRICAL
LICENSE ISSUED BY THE BOARD. THE PRESCRIBED FEE AND PROOF OF
ELIGIBILITY REQUIRED BY THE BOARD SHALL ACCOMPANY THE
APPLICATION. AFTER JANUARY 1, 1985, ANY APPLICANT FOR A MASTER
ELECTRICAL LICENSE SHALL BE REQUIRED TO SUBMIT TO A BOARD
EXAMINATION.

(B)  IF APPLICATION AND PAYMENT OF THE PRESCRIBED FEE IS
MADE BEFORE JANUARY 1, 1985, ANY PERSON WHO IS A RESIDENT OF THIS
STATE AND HAS BEEN PRINCIPALLY ENGAGED AND LAWFULLY ESTABLISHED
AS A MASTER ELECTRICIAN, IN A NONLICENSED SUBDIVISION IN THIS
STATE FOR NOT LESS THAN 5 YEARS IMMEDIATELY PRIOR TO JULY 1,
1984, SHALL RECEIVE A STATEWIDE MASTER ELECTRICAL LICENSE WITHOUT
EXAMINATION. THE APPLICATION SHALL INCLUDE INFORMATION REQUIRED
BY THE BOARD SHOWING PROOF OF ELIGIBILITY. ALL APPLICANTS FOR A
MASTER ELECTRICAL LICENSE AFTER JANUARY 1, 1985, SHALL SUBMIT TO
A STATEWIDE BOARD EXAMINATION.

539.

(A) THE BOARD MAY SUSPEND OR REVOKE THE LICENSE OF A MASTER
ELECTRICIAN, AFTER A PUBLIC HEARING CONDUCTED IN ACCORDANCE WITH
THE PROVISIONS OF THE ADMINISTRATIVE PROCEDURE ACT, IF THE BOARD
FINDS THE MASTER ELECTRICIAN:

(1)  OBTAINED A LICENSE BY FALSE OR FRAUDULENT
REPRESENTATION;

(2)  TRANSFERRED THE AUTHORITY GRANTED BY THE LICENSE
TO ANOTHER PERSON;

(3)  ENGAGED IN UNFAIR OR DECEPTIVE TRADE PRACTICES AS
DEFINED IN COMMERCIAL LAW ARTICLE, SECTION 13-301 OF THE
ANNOTATED CODE OF MARYLAND;

(4)  WILLFULLY OR DELIBERATELY DISREGARDED AND
VIOLATED BUILDING CODES, ELECTRICAL CODES, OR LAWS OF THIS STATE
OR OF ANY MUNICIPALITY, CITY, OR COUNTY;

(5)  AIDED OR ABETTED ANY PERSON TO EVADE ANY
PROVISION OF THIS SUBTITLE;

(6) (I) KNOWINGLY COMBINED OR CONSPIRED WITH ANY
PERSON, BY ALLOWING A LICENSE TO BE USED BY ANY UNLICENSED
PERSON, FIRM, OR CORPORATION, WITH INTENT TO EVADE THE PROVISIONS
OF THIS SUBTITLE.

(II) ALLOWING A LICENSE TO BE USED BY MORE THAN
ONE PERSON, FIRM, OR CORPORATION, CONSTITUTES PRIMA FACIE
