(a)  There shall be five THE There shall be five County
Commissioners in Dorchester County, who SHALL who constitute the

(b)  Dorchester County shall be divided into three County
Commissioner Districts, as follows:

(1) The North County Commissioner District is

composed of the Fork, East New Market, Williamsburg, [and]
Hurlock, VIENNA, DRAWBRIDGE, BUCKTOWN, LINKWOOD, SALEM, AND
ELLIOTT Election Districts;

(2) The Central County Commissioner District is

composed of the [Cambridge, Neck, and Linkwood Election

Districts] CHURCH CREEK ELECTION DISTRICT AND THE PEACH BLOSSOM,
PINE STREET, ACADEMY, EAST CAMBRIDGE, AND SANDY HILL PRECINCTS OF
THE CAMBRIDGE ELECTION DISTRICT;

(3) The South County Commissioner District is

composed of the [Vienna,] Taylor's Island, Lakes, Hoopers Island,
[Church Creek,] Straits, [Drawbridge, Bucktown, Madison, [Salem,
and Elliott] AND NECK Election Districts AND THE DAILSVILLE
PRECINCT OF THE CAMBRIDGE ELECTION DISTRICT.

(c) By a general vote of the county, [one] 2 County
[Commissioner] COMMISSIONERS shall be elected from among the
voters who reside in the North County Commissioner District,
[three] 2 shall be elected from among the voters who reside in
the Central County Commissioner District, and [one] 1 shall be
elected from among the voters who reside in the South County
Commissioner District.

(1) COMMISSIONER DISTRICT NO. 1 IS COMPOSED OF
TAYLOR'S ISLAND, LAKES, HOOPERS ISLAND, THE DAILSVILLE PRECINCT
OF CAMBRIDGE, NECK, STRAITS, MADISON AND CHURCH CREEK;

(2) COMMISSIONER DISTRICT NO. 2 IS COMPOSED OF
ACADEMY AND SANDY HILL PRECINCTS;

(3) COMMISSIONER DISTRICT NO. 3 IS COMPOSED OF
PEACHBLOSSOM, PINE STREET AND EAST CAMBRIDGE PRECINCTS;

(4) COMMISSIONER DISTRICT NO. 4 IS COMPOSED OF FORK,
VIENNA, DRAWBRIDGE, BUCKTOWN, LINKWOOD, SALEM AND ELLIOTT
DISTRICTS; AND

(5) COMMISSIONER DISTRICT NO. 5 IS COMPOSED OF EAST
NEW MARKET, WILLIAMSBURG AND HURLOCK DISTRICTS.

(C) (1) FOLLOWING EACH DECENNIAL CENSUS, THE COUNTY
COMMISSIONERS, BY RESOLUTION, GENERAL ASSEMBLY, BY LAW, SHALL
ESTABLISH NEW COUNTY COMMISSIONER DISTRICTS WHICH SHALL BECOME
EFFECTIVE FOR THE TERM OF COMMISSIONERS BEGINNING NEXT AFTER THE
REPORT OF THE CENSUS.
