residents of the State for protecting, sowing, bedding, or
cultivating oysters or other shell fish, subject to the
provisions of this section. These submerged lands when leased
shall be known as leased oyster bottoms. EXCEPT FOR A 4-H CLUB
IN THE STATE, [A] A corporation or joint stock company may not
lease or acquire by assignment or otherwise any submerged land of
the State for the purposes of this section. A 4-H CLUB IN THE
STATE MAY LEASE OR ACQUIRE NOT MORE THAN 10 ACRES OF SUBMERGED
LAND FOR THE PURPOSES OF THIS SECTION.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall
take effect July 1, 1984.

AN ACT concerning

Oil Disaster Containment, Control, and Cleanup - Edible Oils

FOR the purpose of redefining a certain definition of oil to
exclude certain edible oils from inclusion in the law
concerning oil disaster containment, control, and cleanup.

BY repealing and reenacting, with amendments,

Section 8-1411(a)(3)

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That the Laws of Maryland read as follows:

Article - Natural Resources

8-1411.

(a) In this section the following words and phrases have
the meaning indicated.

(3) (I) "Oil, petroleum products, and their
by-products" means oil of any kind and in any liquid form
including, but not limited to petroleum, fuel oil, sludge, oil
refuse, oil mixed with other waste, crude oils and every other
NONEDIBLE, liquid hydrocarbon regardless of specific gravity.
