REGISTRATION WITH THE BOARD SHALL BE REQUIRED BY JULY 1, 1985.
(2)(E) A NONREGISTERED INDIVIDUAL CURRENTLY
PRACTICING AS AN ENVIRONMENTAL HEALTH PRACTITIONER SANITARIAN MAY
BE REGISTERED WITH THE BOARD IF THE INDIVIDUAL:
(I) IF THE INDIVIDUAL EITHER:
1. MEETS THE QUALIFICATIONS SPECIFIED IN
§ 5.5-302; OR
(1) GRADUATES FROM AN ACCREDITED COLLEGE OR
UNIVERSITY WITH:
(I) A BACCALAUREATE DEGREE IN ENVIRONMENTAL
SCIENCE OR ENVIRONMENTAL HEALTH AND 12 MONTHS OF EXPERIENCE,
ACCEPTABLE TO THE BOARD, IN THE FIELD OF ENVIRONMENTAL HEALTH; OR
(II) A BACCALAUREATE DEGREE IN THE NATURAL
SCIENCES INCLUDING:
1. A MINIMUM OF 60 SEMESTER CREDIT HOURS
OR THE EQUIVALENT QUARTER CREDIT HOURS OF BASIC SCIENCES
ACCEPTABLE TO THE BOARD;
2. A COURSE IN MATHEMATICS AND AT LEAST 1
LABORATORY COURSE IN 3 OF THE FOLLOWING FIELDS: CHEMISTRY,
PHYSICS, MICROBIOLOGY, AND BIOLOGY; AND
3. 24 MONTHS OF EXPERIENCE, ACCEPTABLE TO
THE BOARD, IN THE FIELD OF ENVIRONMENTAL HEALTH; OR
(III) A BACCALAUREATE DEGREE THAT INCLUDES:
1. 30 SEMESTER CREDIT HOURS OR THE
EQUIVALENT IN QUARTER UNITS IN THE NATURAL SCIENCES THAT MEET THE
EDUCATION STANDARDS SET BY THE BOARD;
2. A COURSE IN MATHEMATICS AND AT LEAST 1
LABORATORY COURSE IN 3 OF THE FOLLOWING FIELDS: CHEMISTRY,
PHYSICS, MICROBIOLOGY, AND BIOLOGY; AND
3. 24 MONTHS OF EXPERIENCE, ACCEPTABLE TO
THE BOARD, IN THE FIELD OF ENVIRONMENTAL HEALTH; OR
(IV) A MASTER'S DEGREE IN PUBLIC HEALTH OR
ENVIRONMENTAL HEALTH SCIENCES THAT INCLUDES:
