AN ACT concerning
Calvert County - Employment Security Administration - Prince
Frederick Office
FOR the purpose of altering from Calvert County to the State
Department of Employment and Training the responsibility to
provide office space and clerical help necessary for the
operation of the full-time office of the State Employment
Security Administration Office in Prince Frederick (Calvert
County); providing for the transfer of certain County
employees to the State classified service upon the
satisfaction of certain conditions; granting certain
transfer credits, rights, and protections to certain County
employees transferred into the State classified service; and
generally relating to the Calvert County office of the
Department of Employment and Training Administration and
certain employees associated therewith.

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That the Laws of Maryland read as follows:
Article 5 - Calvert County
4-501.
(A) The [County Commissioners] MARYLAND DEPARTMENT OF
EMPLOYMENT AND TRAINING shall provide the necessary office space
and clerical help in order to [establish] OPERATE a full-time
Office of the State Employment Security Administration. This
office shall be located in Prince Frederick.
(B) ALL PERSONS EMPLOYED BY CALVERT COUNTY WHO HAVE
SATISFACTORILY PERFORMED CONTINUOUS FULL-TIME CLERICAL SUPPORT
WORK FOR THE EMPLOYMENT SERVICE OFFICE FOR AT LEAST 18 MONTHS
SHALL BE TRANSFERRED, WITHOUT FURTHER EXAMINATION OR
QUALIFICATION, TO THE STATE CLASSIFIED SERVICE.
(C) ANY EMPLOYEE TRANSFERRED TO THE STATE CLASSIFIED
SERVICE UNDER THIS SECTION SHALL:
