AN ACT concerning
Racing - Half-Mile Days
FOR the purpose of changing the licensees authorized to conduct
half mile horse racing in the State and the conditions for
licensing; transferring certain days of half-mile racing
from the Timonium track to the mile tracks and specifying
the conditions on the use of these days; changing certain
requirements for days of racing at mile tracks; stating the
status of half-mile racing days when run at mile tracks;
providing for annual grants to the Maryland State Fair and
to Baltimore County, subject to certain conditions and
limitations; changing the requirements for distribution of
racing revenues; authorizing the Maryland State Fair to
conduct Sunday racing under certain conditions; removing
obsolete language; making necessary corrections; and
specifying the details of transfer of certain racing days in
the State; and relating generally to half-mile racing days
and the distribution of certain revenues.

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That the Laws of Maryland read as follows:
Article 78B - Racing Commission
7.
(c) The Commission shall have the power to reject any
application for a license for any cause which it may deem
sufficient and the action of the Commission shall be final. No
one person, corporation or association shall be given a license
to conduct racing for more than ninety (90) days in one year, nor
shall more than an aggregate of one hundred and twenty (120) days
