(1)  The proceedings, records, or files of the
Commission or any of its investigatory bodies are not
discoverable and are not admissible in evidence; and

(2)  Any order passed by the Commission is not
admissible in evidence.

14-512.

(e) A report made under this section is not subject to

subpoena or discovery in any civil [proceeding] ACTION other than

a proceeding arising out of a hearing and decision of the
Commission under this title.

14-601.

(d) [(1) In this subsection, "civil action" includes a
health care malpractice claim under Title 3, Subtitle 2A of the
Courts and Judicial Proceedings Article.

(2)] Except as otherwise provided in this section,
the proceedings, records, and files of a medical review committee
are not discoverable and are not admissible in evidence in any
civil action arising out of matters that are being reviewed and
evaluated by the medical review committee.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall
take effect July 1, 1984.

CHAPTER 431

(House Bill 633)

AN ACT concerning

Handgun Weapons. Violations - Prosecution

FOR the purpose of eliminating the requirement that prosecutions
for violation of certain handgun weapons provisions be done
by indictment or information; and permitting prosecution for
those handgun violations by statement of charges or citation
as well as by indictment or information.

BY repealing and reenacting, without amendments,

Article 27 - Crimes and Punishments
