FOR the purpose of providing that the definition of "civil
action", which includes health claims arbitration actions,
applies to all the appropriate provisions of the Maryland
Medical Practice Act, thus extending confidentiality to
certain records of the Medical Disciplinary Commission in
health claims arbitration actions.

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That Section(s) 14-101(c) through (k), respectively, of
Article - Health Occupations of the Annotated Code of Maryland be
renumbered to be Section(s) 14-101(d) through (1), respectively.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That the Laws of
Maryland read as follows:
