[(e)(C) By May 1, 1983, the President of the Senate and
the Speaker of the House of Delegates shall appoint a special
committee on transportation related revenues composed of 5
Senators, 5 Delegates, and the Secretary of Transportation, or
his designee. In determining the legislative appointments, the
President and the Speaker shall give due consideration to all
geographical regions of the State. The special committee shall
analyze and study the provisions of this subtitle relating to the
distribution and use of revenues in the Gasoline and Motor
Vehicle Revenue Account and the revenue sharing account among the
Department of Transportation, Baltimore City, the counties, and
the municipalities. The President and the Speaker shall also
appoint an advisory committee to assist the special committee.
The special committee shall submit its report, with findings and
recommendations, to the General Assembly by January 1, 1984.
SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall
take effect July 1, 1984.

AN ACT concerning
Health Insurance - Benefits For Services of Nurse
Anesthetists
FOR the purpose of requiring that after a certain date any health
insurer, including profit, nonprofit, and group and blanket
health insurers, who proposes to issue a certain health
insurance policy in Maryland shall include benefits for
expenses arising from the care, treatment, or provide
reimbursement for covered services rendered by a nurse
anesthetist; providing that the State Medical Assistance
Program may pay for services rendered by a nurse
anesthetist; requiring the State Board of Examiners of
Nurses to establish a certain peer review committee; and
generally relating to health insurance policies for the
services of nurse anesthetists.
