SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That the Laws of Maryland read as follows:

Article - Courts and Judicial Proceedings

2-604.

(C) A CONSTABLE WHO SHOWS PROPER IDENTIFICATION MAY RIDE
PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION IN BALTIMORE CITY DURING THE COURSE OF THE
CONSTABLE'S EMPLOYMENT WITHOUT PAYING THE FARE.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall
take effect July 1, 1984.

CHAPTER 373

(Senate Bill 874)

AN ACT concerning

Regional Planning Council and Tri-County
Council of Southern Maryland - Status

FOR the purpose of providing that the Regional Planning Council
and the Tri-County Council of Southern Maryland may not be
placed in one of the principal departments of State
government; and providing generally certain
intergovernmental units may be exempted from placement in a
principal department.

BY repealing and reenacting, with amendments,

Article 41 - Governor - Executive and Administrative

Departments
Section 3D

Annotated Code of Maryland
(1982 Replacement Volume and 1983 Supplement)

BY adding to

Article 78D - Regional Planning Council

Section 3A

Annotated Code of Maryland

(1980 Replacement Volume and 1983 Supplement)

BY adding to

Article 20 - Tri-County Council of Southern Maryland
