(14)  REQUIRING EMPLOYERS TO EDUCATE EMPLOYEES WITH
REGARD TO HAZARDS AND SAFE PROCEDURES RELATING TO HAZARDOUS
SUBSTANCES WITH WHICH THEY WORK; AND

(15)  REQUIRING EMPLOYERS TO PROVIDE INFORMATION TO
GOVERNMENT AGENCIES CHARGED WITH FIRE PROTECTION IN ORDER TO
PROTECT PUBLIC HEALTH AND SAFETY AND THE HEALTH AND SAFETY OF
FIRE FIGHTERS.

32A.

(A)  IN §§ 32A THROUGH 32N OF THIS SUBTITLE THE FOLLOWING
WORDS HAVE THE MEANINGS INDICATED.

(B)  "CHEMICAL" MEANS ANY ELEMENT, CHEMICAL COMPOUND OR
MIXTURES OF ELEMENTS AND COMPOUNDS.

(C)  "CHEMICAL NAME" MEANS THE SCIENTIFIC DESIGNATION OF A
CHEMICAL IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE NOMENCLATURE SYSTEM DEVELOPED BY
THE INTERNATIONAL UNION OF PURE AND APPLIED CHEMISTRY OR THE
CHEMICAL ABSTRACT SERVICE RULES OF NOMENCLATURE, OR A NAME WHICH
WILL CLEARLY IDENTIFY THE CHEMICAL FOR THE PURPOSE OF CONDUCTING
A HAZARD EVALUATION.

(D)  "COMMON NAME" MEANS ANY DESIGNATION OR IDENTIFICATION
USED TO IDENTIFY A CHEMICAL OTHER THAN BY ITS CHEMICAL NAME,
INCLUDING A TRADE NAME OR NUMBER, CODE NAME OR NUMBER, BRAND
NAME, AND GENERIC NAME.

(E)  "DESIGNATED REPRESENTATIVE" MEANS ANY INDIVIDUAL OR
ORGANIZATION TO WHOM AN EMPLOYEE GIVES WRITTEN AUTHORIZATION TO
EXERCISE THAT EMPLOYEE'S RIGHTS UNDER §§ 32A THROUGH 32N OF THIS
SUBTITLE. A RECOGNIZED OR CERTIFIED COLLECTIVE BARGAINING AGENT
SHALL BE TREATED AUTOMATICALLY AS A DESIGNATED REPRESENTATIVE
WITHOUT REGARD TO WRITTEN EMPLOYEE AUTHORIZATION.

(F)  "DISTRIBUTOR" MEANS A PERSON OTHER THAN A CHEMICAL
MANUFACTURER OR IMPORTER, WHO SUPPLIES HAZARDOUS CHEMICALS TO
OTHER DISTRIBUTORS OR TO EMPLOYERS.

(C) "EMPLOYEE" INCLUDES:

(1) A VOLUNTEER FIRE, AMBULANCE, OR RESCUE COMPANY
MEMBER OR FORMER MEMBER, AND

(2) A FORMER EMPLOYEE.

(G) (1) "EMPLOYEE" MEANS A FORMER EMPLOYEE OR AN EMPLOYEE
AS DEFINED IN § 29 OF THIS SUBTITLE WHEN THE EMPLOYEE MAY BE
EXPOSED TO HAZARDOUS CHEMICALS UNDER NORMAL OPERATING CONDITIONS
OR FORESEEABLE EMERGENCIES.

(2) "EMPLOYEE" INCLUDES:

(I) PRODUCTION WORKERS;
