(b) Conditions and restrictions. Arrangements with
commercial banks and savings and loan associations to collect
taxes [pursuant to] UNDER this section shall be subject to any
additional conditions and restrictions which the County Treasurer
considers appropriate, including accounting, issuance of
receipts, remittance, and commissions.
(c) Payment of taxes. Upon the payment of any State or
County real estate or personal property taxes to a commercial
bank or a savings and loan association authorized under this
section to accept taxes, the taxes owning to the State or County
are paid. (1977, ch. 836.)
36-20. Same; legislative intent.
The intention of sections 36-4 - 36-20 is to facilitate and
expedite the collection of taxes in Washington County, and
thereby generally promote the business of the County
Commissioners' office [in said County and for]. FOR that purpose
all the provisions of Sections 36-4 - 36-20 shall be liberally
