8-1. County commissioners; number.

There [shall be five (5)] ARE 5 County Commissioners [for
Washington County to] WHO hold office as [shall be hereinafter]
provided IN THIS TITLE. (See note (1)) (P.L.L., 1860, Art. 21,
sec. 79; 1888, Art. 22, sec. 91; 1930, sec. 138; 1957 Code, sec.
168. 1892, ch. 366.)

8-1A. Term of commissioner.

The term of office for a County Commissioner [of Washington
County] begins on the first Tuesday in December after the
November election.

8-2. County Commissioners; compensation.

(A)   [Each County Commissioner of Washington County shall
