(B) REIMBURSEMENT.

(1)  THE POET LAUREATE:

(I)  MAY NOT RECEIVE COMPENSATION; BUT

(II)  SUBJECT TO PARAGRAPH (2) OF THIS
SUBSECTION, IS ENTITLED TO REIMBURSEMENT FOR ANY EXPENSES
INCURRED IN THE PERFORMANCE OF DUTIES AS POET LAUREATE.

(2)  REIMBURSEMENT UNDER THIS SUBSECTION:

(I)  SHALL BE PAID FROM THE GENERAL EMERGENCY
FUND OF THE BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS; AND

(II)  MAY NOT EXCEED $1,000 IN ANY 1 FISCAL
YEAR.

REVISOR'S NOTE: This section is new language derived
without substantive change from former Art. 41, § 77A.

In subsection (b)(2)(i) of this section, the reference
to the "General Emergency Fund" of the Board of Public
Works is substituted for the former reference to its
"contingent fund", to conform to current terminology.

(A)  ADOPTION.

THE POEM "MARYLAND. MY MARYLAND.", WHICH JAMES RYDER RANDALL
COMPOSED IN 1861, AND THE TUNE OF "LAURIGER HORATIUS" ARE THE
STATE SONG.

(B)  WORDS.

THE WORDS OF THE STATE SONG ARE:
