"Permit" § 11-101

(E)  DEVELOPMENT PROJECT.

"DEVELOPMENT PROJECT" MEANS A PROPOSED CONSTRUCTION OR
DEVELOPMENT FOR WHICH MORE THAN 1 PERMIT IS REQUIRED.

Defined term: "Permit" § 11-101

(F)  GOVERNMENTAL UNIT.
"GOVERNMENTAL UNIT" INCLUDES:

(1)  THE STATE;

(2)  A COUNTY, MUNICIPAL CORPORATION, OR OTHER
POLITICAL SUBDIVISION OF THE STATE; AND

(3)  A UNIT OF A POLITICAL SUBDIVISION OF THE STATE.

REVISOR'S NOTE: This subsection is new language derived
without substantive change from the part of former
Art. 78A, § 57(e) that defined "person" to include the
enumerated entities. It is restated as a definition
of "governmental unit" to avoid confusion with the .
word "person", as defined in § 1-101 of this article.

In light of the definition of "person" in § 1-101 of
this article, the part of former Art. 78A, § 57(e)
that referred to "a natural person, firm, corporation,
or other entity" is deleted as unnecessary.

"Includes";"including" § 1-101

(G)  LOCAL GOVERNMENT.
"LOCAL GOVERNMENT" MEANS:

(1)  A COUNTY;

(2)  A MUNICIPAL CORPORATION IN THE STATE; OR

(3)  A UNIT OF A COUNTY OR MUNICIPAL CORPORATION IN
THE STATE.
