SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That the Laws of Maryland read as follows:

Article 12 - Garrett County

32A-1.

(a)  The Garrett County Salary Study Commission is
established. It shall study the existing salaries of the Garrett
County Commissioners, Treasurer, Sheriff, State's Attorney and
Deputy, Judges of the Orphans Court, Board of Supervisors of
Elections, BOARD OF EDUCATION, and members of the Liquor Control
Board. It shall make recommendations regarding the salaries for
these offices and the recommendations shall be sent to the
Garrett County Delegation of the General Assembly.

(b)  The Commission shall meet prior to the 1981 Session of
the General Assembly and prior to the beginning of each session
every 4 years thereafter. The members shall elect a chairperson.
The members will serve without compensation.

(c)  The Salary Study Commission shall be composed of five
members as follows: one member each from the Republican Central
Committee of Garrett County, the Democrat Central Committee of
Garrett County, the League of Women Voters of Garrett County, the
Chamber of Commerce of Garrett County, and the Farm Bureau of
Garrett County.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall
take effect July 1, 1984.

AN ACT concerning

Charles County - Gaming Devices - Profits

FOR the purpose of providing that certain provisions of   law do

not prohibit organizations that operate certain     gaming

devices at the Charles County Fair to donate any part   of the
proceeds to the Charles County Fair Board.
