Annotated Code of Maryland

(1980 Replacement Volume and 1983 Supplement)

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That the Laws of Maryland read as follows:

Article - Courts and Judicial Proceedings

8-106.

(a)  As used in this section, unless otherwise indicated,
"mileage allowance" means the rate for each mile or fraction of a
mile over five miles actually traveled by a juror going to and
from court each day over the shortest practicable route.

(b)  A juror shall receive the per diem amount stated in
this section for each day the juror attends court as a juror in:

(24) Worcester County--$15 expense money; [15 cents
mileage allowance] MILEAGE ALLOWANCE AS SET BY THE COUNTY
COMMISSIONERS.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall
take effect July 1, 1984.

AN ACT concerning

Garrett County - Salary Study Commission

FOR the purpose of providing that the Garrett County Salary Study
Commission shall meet periodically to study the salaries of
the members of the County Board of Education and make
recommendations regarding these salaries to the Garrett
County Delegation of the General Assembly.

BY repealing and reenacting, with amendments,
