9-806. TITLE TO BUILDING AND SITE.

THE STATE AND BALTIMORE CITY JOINTLY SHALL HOLD TITLE TO THE
WAR MEMORIAL BUILDING AND THE MEMORIAL SITE.

REVISOR'S NOTE: This section is new language derived
without substantive change from the second clause of
former Art. 65, § 82.

The first clause of former Art. 65, § 82, which
directed Baltimore City to convey title, now appears
in the Session Laws.

9-807. MANAGEMENT.

(A)  IN GENERAL.

THE COMMISSION MAY PROVIDE FOR MANAGEMENT OF THE WAR
MEMORIAL BUILDING AS PROVIDED IN THIS SECTION.

(B)  REGULATIONS.

(1)  THE COMMISSION SHALL ADOPT REGULATIONS THAT
PROVIDE FOR THE MANAGEMENT OF THE WAR MEMORIAL BUILDING IN A
MANNER THAT:

(I)  PERMITS THE GREATEST POSSIBLE USE OF THE
BUILDING BY THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE AND BY PATRIOTIC
ORGANIZATIONS IN THE STATE; AND

(II)  TO THE EXTENT POSSIBLE, PERMITS THE USE BY
THE PATRIOTIC ORGANIZATIONS WITHOUT COST.

(2)  THE COMMISSION SHALL ENFORCE THE REGULATIONS.

(C)  APPOINTMENTS.

THE COMMISSION MAY APPOINT A CUSTODIAN AND A JANITOR FOR THE
WAR MEMORIAL BUILDING.

(D)  FUNDS.

THE COMMISSION MAY USE, FOR THE MAINTENANCE AND
ADMINISTRATION OF THE BUILDING, ANY FUNDS THAT THE GENERAL
ASSEMBLY OR THE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL OF BALTIMORE APPROPRIATE
FOR THOSE PURPOSES.

REVISOR'S NOTE: This section is new language derived
without substantive change from former Art. 65, § 80,
§ 81, and the third clause of § 82.
