1236                                             LAWS OF MARYLAND                                         Ch. 284

(II) THE FACILITIES AND DEVELOPMENT OF ANY UNIT
OF THE STATE GOVERNMENT.

(D) LIMITATION.

(1)  A STUDY OR RECOMMENDATION OF THE COMMISSION IS
ADVISORY ONLY.

(2)  THE COMMISSION MAY NOT REQUIRE OR COMPEL THE
ADOPTION OR IMPLEMENTATION OF ANY RECOMMENDATION.

REVISOR'S NOTE: This section is new language derived
without substantive change from former Art. 41, §
360(f), (g), and the first and second clauses of (h).

Subsection (a)(2)(i) of this section is revised as a
separate power of the Commission, although, under
former Art. 41, § 360(g)(1), this power appeared as a
part of the study of landmark resources, since this
power did not seem to be limited to an inventory of
current uses of landmark resources.

In subsection (a)(2)(i) of this section, the former
term "business" is deleted in light of the broader
term "commercial".

Subsections (b) and (c) of this section are revised as
separate powers, rather than as powers carried out
"[a]s part of its studies and consideration", since
cooperation and recommendations seem, more
appropriately, the result of study and consideration.

Defined term: "Commission" § 9-401

9-407. FUNDS.

IN ADDITION TO ANY POWERS SET FORTH ELSEWHERE, THE
COMMISSION:

(1)  MAY ACCEPT MONEY FROM A PRIVATE OR PUBLIC AGENCY
FOR USE IN CARRYING OUT THE POWERS AND DUTIES OF THE COMMISSION;
AND

(2)  FOR THAT PURPOSE, MAY GIVE THE MONEY TO A PRIVATE
OR PUBLIC AGENCY OR OTHERWISE SPEND THE MONEY.

REVISOR'S NOTE: This section is new language derived
without substantive change from former Art. 41, §
360(e) and the third clause of (h).

The introductory language of this section, "[i]n
addition to any powers set forth elsewhere," is
standard language added for clarity.
