LAWS OF MARYLAND

Ch. 284

(2) IS ENTITLED TO REIMBURSEMENT FOR EXPENSES UNDER
THE STANDARD STATE TRAVEL REGULATIONS, AS PROVIDED IN THE STATE
BUDGET.

(C) OFFICES AND STAFF.

THE COMMISSION MAY HAVE OFFICES AND EMPLOY A STAFF AND
CONSULTANTS IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE STATE BUDGET.

REVISOR'S NOTE: Subsection (a)(1) of this section is
standard language added for clarity.

Subsections (a)(2) through (c) of this section are new
language derived without substantive change from
former Art. 41, § 360(d) and the third sentence of
(b).

In subsection (b) of this section, the former
reference to "proper ... expenses incurred in the
discharge of their duties on the Commission" is
deleted in light of the reference to Standard State
Travel Regulations. The Standard State Travel
Regulations are adopted by the Department of Personnel
with the approval of the Board of Public Works.

In subsection (c) of this section, the former word
"provide", which preceded the words "such employees
... and office facilities as may be provided in the
State budget from time to time", is deleted as an
apparent error in the enactment of former Art. 41, §
360(d) by Ch. 202, Acts of 1965.

Also in subsection (c) of this section, the former
words "employees" and "assistants" are deleted as
unnecessary in light of the broad word "staff".

Defined term: "Commission" § 9-401

9-406. GENERAL POWERS AND DUTIES.

(A) CONSIDERATION.

(1)  THE COMMISSION SHALL STUDY     POSSIBLE WAYS TO
PRESERVE AND IMPROVE ANNAPOLIS AS THE CAPITAL  OF THE STATE, WITH
