As to the introductory language of subsection (b) of
this section and the substitution of the defined term
"Director" for the former phrase "Office of Minority
Affairs" and the substitution of the reference to
"other units of the Executive Branch of the State
government" for the former reference to "other State
agencies", see revisor's note to § 9-304 of this
subtitle.

In subsection (b)(1) of this section, the phrase
"minority business enterprises" is substituted for the
former reference to "minority business", to conform to
the references elsewhere in this section.

In subsection (b)(2) of this section, the former
phrase "program objectives" is deleted as unnecessary
in light of the broad references to "plans" and
"programs".

In subsection (b)(3), (4), and (6)(ii) of this
section, the phrase "private entities" is substituted
for the former list of these entities and references
such as "these groups", for brevity and clarity.

In subsection (b)(4) of this section, the phrase "to
develop minority business enterprises" is added for
clarity. Similarly, in subsection (b)(6)(ii) of this
section, the clause "that relate to minority business
enterprises" is added to modify "undertakings".

In subsection (b)(5) of this section, the former word
"organizations" is deleted as unnecessary in light of
the use of the defined term "person".

9-306. ANNUAL REPORT.

ON OR BEFORE THE 15TH DAY OF EACH REGULAR SESSION OF THE
GENERAL ASSEMBLY, THE DIRECTOR SHALL SEND AN ANNUAL REPORT ON THE
OFFICE OF MINORITY AFFAIRS:

(1)  TO THE GOVERNOR; AND

(2)  SUBJECT TO § 2-1312 OF THIS ARTICLE, TO THE
GENERAL ASSEMBLY.

REVISOR'S NOTE: This section is new language derived
without substantive change from former Art. 41, §
483(d)(9) and the second clause of (c).

As to the substitution of the defined term "Director"
for the former phrase "Office of Minority Affairs",
see revisor's note to § 9-304 of this subtitle.
