(1)  THE COMMISSION SHALL SUBMIT TO THE GOVERNOR AND,
SUBJECT TO § 2-1312 OF THIS ARTICLE, TO THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY THE
REPORTS REQUIRED UNDER THIS SUBSECTION.

(2)  THE COMMISSION SHALL SUBMIT MONTHLY A REPORT THAT
STATES THE TOTAL STATE LOTTERY REVENUES AND THE TOTAL PRIZE
DISBURSEMENTS AND OTHER EXPENSES FOR THE PRECEDING MONTH.

(3)  THE COMMISSION SHALL SUBMIT ANNUALLY A REPORT
THAT:

(I)  STATES THE TOTAL STATE LOTTERY REVENUES AND
THE TOTAL PRIZE DISBURSEMENTS AND OTHER EXPENSES FOR THE
PRECEDING YEAR; AND

(II)  MAKES RECOMMENDATIONS FOR CHANGE IN THIS
SUBTITLE.

(4)  THE COMMISSION SHALL SUBMIT A REPORT WHENEVER A
MATTER REQUIRES AN IMMEDIATE CHANGE IN A STATE LAW TO:

(I)  PREVENT AN ABUSE OR EVASION OF THIS
SUBTITLE OR A REGULATION OF THE AGENCY; OR

(II)  RECTIFY AN UNDESIRABLE CONDITION IN THE
OPERATION OR ADMINISTRATION OF THE STATE LOTTERY.

REVISOR'S NOTE: Subsection (a) of this section is new
language added to state that the enumerated duties are
not exhaustive.

Subsections (b) and (c) of this section are    new

language derived without substantive change    from

former Art. 88D, § 7(a), (d), (e), (f)(1), (3),     and
(4), and (g).

In subsections (b)(1) and (c)(4)(i) of this section,
the references to a regulation "of the Agency" are
substituted for the former references such as "rules
issued thereunder", for consistency. See revisor's
note to § 9-110 of this subtitle.

In subsection (b)(1) and (2) of this section, the
former reference to conducting studies "with a view to
recommending or effecting changes" and former Art.
88D, § 7(f)(2) — which authorized studies for
"formulating recommendations" -- are deleted as
unnecessary in light of subsection (c)(3)(ii) and (4)
of this section.

Also in subsection (b)(1) and (2) of this section, the
former word "investigation" is deleted as unnecessary
in light of the broad term "studies".
