Ch. 284

(A)  POSITION.

THERE IS AN ATTORNEY GENERAL OF THE STATE, AS PROVIDED IN
ARTICLE V, § 1 OF THE MARYLAND CONSTITUTION.

(B)  SALARY AND REIMBURSEMENT FOR EXPENSES.
THE ATTORNEY GENERAL IS ENTITLED TO:

(1)  THE SALARY PROVIDED IN THE STATE BUDGET; AND

(2)  REIMBURSEMENT FOR TRAVEL AND OTHER EXPENSES THAT
ARE CONNECTED WITH THE DUTIES OF THE OFFICE.

REVISOR'S NOTE: Subsection (a) of this section is new
language added as a general reference to the
Constitutional provisions that create the position of
Attorney General.

Subsection (b) of this section is new language derived
without substantive change from the fifth sentence of
former Art. 32A, § 6 and, as it related to the
Attorney General, the second clause of the third
sentence of § 8.

6-104. OFFICE OF ATTORNEY GENERAL.

(A)  ESTABLISHED.

THERE IS AN OFFICE OF THE ATTORNEY GENERAL.

(B)  OFFICES.

THE ATTORNEY GENERAL MAY HAVE OFFICES, WHICH THE STATE SHALL
MAINTAIN AND EQUIP.

REVISOR'S NOTE: Subsection (a) of this section is new
language substituted for the first sentence of former
Art. 32A, § 1, which provided for a Department of Law.
This substitution is based on practice, which has been
reflected in numerous, recently enacted provisions of
the Code.

Subsection (b) of this section is new language derived
without substantive change from the first sentence and
first clause of the third sentence of former Art. 32A,
§ 8.

In subsection (b) of this section, the authority for
the Attorney General to "have" offices is substituted
for the power, in the first sentence of former Art.
32A, § 8, "to establish and maintain" offices, since,
