3-208. APPROPRIATION.

(A)  REQUIRED.

IN EACH BUDGET BILL FOR A FISCAL YEAR IN WHICH THE TERM OF A
GOVERNOR EXPIRES, THE GOVERNOR SHALL INCLUDE AN APPROPRIATION, TO
THE SECRETARY OF GENERAL SERVICES, OF THE MONEY NEEDED TO CARRY
OUT THE PURPOSE OF THIS SUBTITLE.

(B)  LIMITATION.

THE APPROPRIATION UNDER THIS SECTION MAY NOT BE MORE THAN
$50,000.

(C)  REVERSION TO GENERAL FUND.

IF THE GOVERNOR-ELECT IS THE INCUMBENT GOVERNOR, THE
APPROPRIATION UNDER THIS SECTION SHALL REVERT TO THE GENERAL FUND
OF THE STATE.

REVISOR'S NOTE: This section is new language derived
without substantive change from former Art. 41, § 15J
and the first and third clauses of § 15G(c).

3-209. SHORT TITLE.

THIS SUBTITLE MAY BE CITED AS THE "MARYLAND GUBERNATORIAL
TRANSITION ACT".

IN ADDITION TO THE POWERS GRANTED AND DUTIES IMPOSED
ELSEWHERE, THE GOVERNOR HAS THE POWERS AND DUTIES SET FORTH IN
THIS SUBTITLE.

REVISOR'S NOTE: This section is new language added to
indicate clearly that the powers and duties enumerated
in this subtitle are not exclusive.
