LAWS OF MARYLAND
Ch. 284
AND
(2) THE PRINTER SHALL PRINT PROMPTLY:
(I) THE DOCUMENTS DELIVERED UNDER THIS SECTION;
(II) THE STATEMENT OF RECEIPTS AND EXPENDITURES
OF PUBLIC MONEY DELIVERED UNDER ARTICLE 19, § 25 OF THE CODE.
(3) THE PRINTER SHALL DELIVER THE VOLUMES TO THE
DIRECTOR.
REVISOR'S NOTE: Subsections (a)(1) through (3) and (b)(1),
(2)(i), and (3) of this section are new language
derived without substantive change from former Art.
41, § 82(b), (c), and the last phrase of (a).
Subsection (a)(4) of this section is new language
added as a general reference to the documents required
to be submitted by municipal corporations, charter
counties, and code counties under Art. 23A, § 17A(g),
Art. 25A, § 7(g), and Art. 25B, § 12(g) of the Code,
respectively.
Subsection (b)(2)(ii) of this section is new language
derived without substantive change from the second
clause of former Art. 19, § 25.
In subsection (b)(1) of this section, the reference to
the "printer who is designated" is substituted for the
former, obsolete reference to the printer "to whom the
contract ... has been awarded", to reflect that, since
the laws are printed by a unit of the General
Assembly, there is no contract. Similarly, in
subsection (b)(2)(i) of this section, the former
reference to printing "in accordance with ... his
contract" is deleted.
In subsection (b)(2)(ii) of this section, the
cross-reference to "Article 19, § 25" is added to
reflect that the first clause of former Art. 19, § 25,
which requires the Comptroller to prepare the
statement, is retained there until revised in the
State Finance and Procurement Article. See also Md.
Constitution, Art. III, § 32.
Defined terms: "County" § 1-101
"Department" § 2-1301 "Director" § 2-1301
2-1310. DISTRIBUTION OF SESSION LAWS AND JOURNALS.
(A) IN GENERAL.
THE DEPARTMENT SHALL SELL, EXCHANGE, OR OTHERWISE DISTRIBUTE
BOUND VOLUMES OF THE LAWS, THE SENATE JOURNAL, AND THE HOUSE
JOURNAL.
