(Senate Bill 404)
AN ACT concerning
Garrett County - Alcoholic Beverages - Disposition of Fines
FOR the purpose of removing Garrett County from the list of counties in which a
certain amount of fines imposed for violations of alcoholic beverages provisions
are required to be disposed of in a certain manner; and generally relating to
. fines for violations of alcoholic beverages provisions in Garrett County.
BY repealing and reenacting, without amendments,

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That the Laws of Maryland read as follows:
Article 2B - Alcoholic Beverages
16-502.
(a) All fines imposed or recognizances forfeited for any violation of any
provision of this article shall be payable to the county in which the offense was
committed, or to Baltimore City if the offense was committed in said city.
(c) Provided further that in Carroll, Cecil, Dorchester, [Garrett,] Kent,
Somerset, Talbot and Wicomico counties one half of each fine shall be disposed of as
provided in § 7-507 of the Courts Article.
SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall take effect
October 1, 2005.
