Ch. 125 2005 LAWS OF MARYLAND
(2) Blind Industries and Services of Maryland, if:
(i) Blind Industries and Services of Maryland provides the supplies
or services; and
(ii) [State Use Industries] MARYLAND CORRECTIONAL
ENTERPRISES does not provide the supplies or services; or
(3) sheltered workshops if:
(i) a sheltered workshop provides the supplies or services;
(ii) neither [State Use Industries] MARYLAND CORRECTIONAL
ENTERPRISES nor Blind Industries and Services of Maryland provides the supplies or
services; and
(iii) the State or a State aided or controlled entity is not required by
law to buy the supplies or services from any other unit of the State government.
Article - State Government
2-1221.
(a) A fiscal/compliance audit conducted by the Office of Legislative Audits
shall include:

|
|
|
|
|
(1) an examination of financial transactions and records and internal
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
controls;
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
(2) an evaluation of compliance with applicable laws and regulations;
(3) an audit of electronic data processing operations; and
(4) an evaluation of compliance with applicable laws and regulations
relating to the acquisition of goods and services from [State Use Industries]
MARYLAND CORRECTIONAL ENTERPRISES.
SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall take effect
October 1, 2005.
