RESOLUTION NO. 1141 CHARTER AMENDMENT A RESOLUTION TO AMEND THE CHARTER TO PROVIDE FOR A CITY
ADMINISTRATOR IN THE OFFICE OF THE MAYOR WHO SHALL BE THE MAYOR'S CHIEF
OF STAFF, APPOINTED BY THE MAYOR WITH THE ADVICE AND CONSENT OF THE
COUNCIL, SERVING AT THE PLEASURE OF THE MAYOR AND COUNCIL, WITH
COMPENSATION DETERMINED BY THE COUNCIL. THE CITY ADMINISTRATOR SHALL
SUPERVISE THE DEPARTMENT HEADS AND THE OPERATIONS OF THE CITY
GOVERNMENT, PREPARE THE BUDGET AND ASSIST THE MAYOR WITH THE AFFAIRS
OF THE CITY. [Article IV, Sections SC 4-1 and SC 4-2 of the Charter of the City of Salisbury,
Wicomico County, as found in the Public Local Laws of Maryland - Compilation of
Municipal Charters (1990 Replacement Edition and 2004 Supplement), repealed. [Article IV, Sections SC 4-1, SC 4-2, SC 4-3, SC 4-4, and SC 4-5 of the Charter
of the City of Salisbury, Wicomico County, as found in the Public Local Laws of
Maryland - Compilation of Municipal Charters (1990 Replacement Edition and 2004
Supplement), added. Effective Date November 2, 2004]

As amended on September 27, 2004 CHARTER AMENDMENT A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SALISBURY TO AMEND
THE CHARTER WITH RESPECT TO THE CITY ELECTIONS FOR THE. PURPOSES OF
(A) DECIDING WHO MAY INITIATE, CIRCULATE AND SIGN A PETITION TO RECALL THE
ELECTED OFFICIAL(S); (B) ESTABLISHING A PROCEDURE BY WHICH PETITIONS TO
RECALL ELECTED OFFICIAL(S) ARE TO BE PREPARED, EXECUTED AND SUBMITTED;
(C) REQUIRING FINANCIAL REPORTS FROM QUALIFIED REGISTERED VOTERS WHO
INITIATE PETITIONS TO RECALL ELECTED OFFICIAL(S) AND CANDIDATES WHO RUN
FOR RECALLED SEATS; (D) ESTABLISHING A MEANS OF VERIFYING SIGNATURES ON
PETITIONS TO RECALL ELECTED OFFICIAL(S); (E) CREATING A REAFFIRMATION
VOTE FOR PETITIONS TO RECALL ELECTED OFFICIAL(S); AND (F) ESTABLISHING A
PROCEDURE FOR SPECIAL ELECTIONS FOR PETITIONS TO RECALL ELECTED
OFFICIAL(S). [Article VI, Section SC 6-13 of the Charter of the City of Salisbury, Wicomico
