BY repealing and reenacting, with amendments, Chapter 644 of the Acts of the General Assembly of 2001
Section 1(3) SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That the Laws of Maryland read as follows: Chapter 644 of the Acts of 2001 SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That: (3) The cash proceeds of the sale of the bonds shall be paid to the Treasurer
and first shall be applied to the payment of the expenses of issuing, selling, and
delivering the bonds, unless funds for this purpose are otherwise provided, and then
shall be credited on the books of the Comptroller and expended, on approval by the
Board of Public Works, for the following public purposes, including any applicable
architects' and engineers' fees: as a grant to the Board of Directors of the National
Capital Historical Museum of Transportation, Inc. (referred to hereafter in this Act as
"the grantee") for the CONSTRUCTION, repair, renovation, rehabilitation, expansion,
and capital equipping of a building at the site of the National Capital Trolley Museum
at 1313 Bonifant Road in Montgomery County, and for the laying of track to serve the
building. SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act is an emergency
measure, is necessary for the immediate preservation of the public health or safety,
has been passed by a yea and nay vote supported by three-fifths of all the members
elected to each of the two Houses of the General Assembly, and shall take effect from
the date it is enacted.

Annapolis, MD 21401 Dear Mr. Speaker: In accordance with Article II, Section 17 of the Maryland Constitution, today I have
vetoed House Bill 419 - Transportation - Vehicle Laws - Maximum Vehicle Width and
Length.
This bill provides for the calculation of the width of a motor home or a travel trailer
and authorizes the State Highway Administration and local authorities to restrict the
width of vehicles traveling on specified highways in their jurisdiction under specified
circumstances. It increases the maximum length of a bus or Class M motor home
when operated on specified highways or routes and the maximum length of a
specified maxi-cube vehicle. Senate Bill 747, which was passed by the General Assembly and signed by me,
