House Bill No. 309
AN ACT concerning
State Traumatic Brain Injury Advisory Board
FOR the purpose of establishing a State Traumatic Brain Injury Advisory Board;
specifying the membership and duties of the Advisory Board; providing for
staffing of the Advisory Board; requiring the Advisory Board to meet at least
once within a certain time period; requiring the Advisory Board to elect a chair
once every year; providing for certain term limits for members of the Advisory
Board; prohibiting members of the Advisory Board from receiving compensation
for serving on the Advisory Board; authorizing reimbursement to members of
the Advisory Board for certain expenses; requiring the Advisory Board to submit
certain reports to the Governor and to the General Assembly on or before a
certain date each year; requiring the Advisory Board to disseminate copies of the
annual report to the President of the Senate, Speaker of the House, and the
Secretary of each Department represented on the Advisory Board each year;
defining a certain term; providing for the termination of this Act; and generally
relating to the State Traumatic Brain Injury Advisory Board.

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That the Laws of Maryland read as follows:

SUBTITLE 21. STATE TRAUMATIC BRAIN INJURY ADVISORY BOARD.
13-2101.
IN THIS SUBTITLE, "ADVISORY BOARD" MEANS THE STATE TRAUMATIC BRAIN
INJURY ADVISORY BOARD.
13-2102.
THERE IS A STATE TRAUMATIC BRAIN INJURY ADVISORY BOARD.
13-2103.
THE ADVISORY BOARD CONSISTS OF THE FOLLOWING 36 VOTING MEMBERS:
(1) THE FOLLOWING TWO MEMBERS, WHO SHALL SERVE EX OFFICIO:
(I) ONE MEMBER OF THE SENATE, TO BE APPOINTED BY THE
PRESIDENT OF THE SENATE; AND
