The Honorable Thomas V. Mike Miller, Jr.
President of the Senate
State House
Annapolis, MD 21401
Dear Mr. President:
In accordance with Article II, Section 17 of the Maryland Constitution, today I have
vetoed Senate Bill 224 - Municipal Corporations - Regulation of Nudity and Sexual
Displays.
This bill authorizes the legislative body of each municipal corporation to adopt an
ordinance for the licensing, control, location, or maintenance within its jurisdiction of
a business establishment that allows on its premises specified activities involving
nudity and sexual displays. The bill also provides a specified penalty.
House Bill 446, which was passed by the General Assembly and signed by me,
- 3519 -
