(C) "NATIONAL CAPITAL REGION" MEANS THE AREA DEFINED UNDER §
2674(F)(2) OF TITLE 10 OF THE UNITED STATES CODE, INCLUDING THOSE COUNTIES
WITH A BORDER ABUTTING THAT AREA AND ANY MUNICIPAL CORPORATIONS IN
THOSE COUNTIES. 14-8A-02. THE STATE, THE GOVERNING BODY OF A COUNTY OR MUNICIPAL
CORPORATION, OR ANY OTHER GOVERNMENTAL AGENCY WITHIN THE NATIONAL
CAPITAL REGION MAY ENTER INTO A RECIPROCAL AGREEMENT FOR THE PERIOD
THAT IT CONSIDERS ADVISABLE WITH A FEDERAL AGENCY, THE COMMONWEALTH
OF VIRGINIA, THE DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA, OR A COUNTY OR MUNICIPAL
CORPORATION, WITHIN OR OUTSIDE THE STATE, AND ESTABLISH, TRAIN, AND
IMPLEMENT PLANS TO REQUEST OR PROVIDE MUTUAL AID THROUGH THE USE OF
ITS OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES, AND AGENTS, TOGETHER WITH ALL NECESSARY
EQUIPMENT, IN ACCORDANCE WITH § 7302 OF THE INTELLIGENCE REFORM AND
TERRORISM PREVENTION ACT OF 2004 (108 PL. 458, 118 STAT. 3638). 14-8A-03. ANY PROVISION OR PART OF A STATE, LOCAL, OR MUNICIPAL CORPORATION
STATUTE, LAW, OR ORDINANCE THAT REQUIRES A MUTUAL AID AGREEMENT TO
CONTAIN ADDITIONAL TERMS OR CONDITIONS IS INAPPLICABLE TO AN AGREEMENT
AUTHORIZED BY AND ENTERED INTO UNDER THIS SUBTITLE. SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 2005. Approved May 26, 2005.
CHAPTER 608
(House Bill 1525) AN ACT concerning Wicomico County - Hotel Rental Tax and User Fee - Dedication of Revenue to Youth and Civic Center FOR the purpose of altering the hotel rental tax rate in Wicomico County; altering the
distribution of the hotel rental tax revenue in Wicomico County under certain
circumstances; authorizing the governing body of Wicomico County to impose a
certain user fee on certain charges for events held at the Wicomico County Youth
and Civic Center; requiring the governing body of Wicomico County to set the
rate of the user fee; limiting the rate of the user fee to a certain amount;
requiring the revenues from the user fee to be used for a certain purpose; and
generally relating to certain user fees and the hotel rental tax in Wicomico
County. BY repealing and reenacting, without amendments, - 3440 -
