ROBERT L. EHRLICH, JR., Governor                             Ch. 551 Kaiser Foundation Health Plan of the Mid-Atlantic States, Inc. and Shady Grove
Adventist Hospital shall report, in accordance with § 2-1246 of the State Government
Article, to the Senate Finance Committee and the House Health and Government
Operations Committee on the status of negotiations for payment of services at the
freestanding medical facility pilot project established under § 19-3A-07, as enacted
by Section 1 of this Act. SECTION 2. 5, AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall take
effect July 1 June 1, 2005 and, with respect to the application of § 19-120(k)(5)(viii) of
the Health - General Article, this Act shall be implemented based on the Maryland
Health Care Commission regulations in effect on that date and generally applicable to
all hospital projects considered under that provision. Approved May 26, 2005.

(House Bill 449)
AN ACT concerning Housing - Community Development Projects - "Live Near Your Work" Program Administration - Financial Assistance Programs for Purchasing a Home Near Work FOR the purpose of requiring the Community Development Administration in the
Department of Housing and Community Development to administer a home
buyer assistance program that assists home buyers to receive certain
low-interest mortgages for the purchase of homes near their place of
employment and coordinates with, and matches where appropriate, similar
programs offered by certain persons under certain circumstances; requiring the
Department to facilitate the marketing of a certain home buyer assistance
program with certain persons; requiring the Department to adopt regulations to
implement a certain home buyer assistance program; requiring the Department
to administer certain community development projects to provide employees
with certain financial assistance to buy homes near their workplaces under
certain circumstances; exempting certain community development projects from
certain requirements regarding income; designating certain community
development projects as the "Live Near Your Work" program; authorising
requiring the Secretary of Housing and Community Development to adopt
regulations to implement the "Live Near Your Work" program; requiring
authorizing the Governor to include in the State budget certain amounts in
certain fiscal years for the "Live Near Your Work" program; declaring the intent
of the General Assembly; requiring the Department to provide financial
assistance under the "Live Near Your Work" program starting on
report to the
General Assembly on or before a certain date; and generally relating to the "Live
Near Your Work" program
financial assistance programs for purchasing a home
near work.
