14-2504.
It is a deceptive trade practice for a seller of hearing aids to:
(7) Fail to refund all payments, less [10 percent or] the amount allowed
under § 14-2503(b)(2) of this subtitle AND PAYMENTS MADE FOR DIAGNOSTIC TESTS
IF BILLED SEPARATELY, made under the purchase agreement within 30 days after:
(i) Receipt of the notice of cancellation if the purchaser's
agreement to purchase is made at a place other than the place of business of the
seller; or
(ii) Return of the hearing aid, if the purchaser's agreement to
purchase is made at the place of business of the seller.
SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall take effect
October 1, 2005.

AN ACT concerning
State Retirement and Pension System - Administration - Simplification
FOR the purpose of providing that certain members of certain systems included in the
State Retirement and Pension System who retire within a certain period of time
after terminating State employment separating from employment with certain
employers may receive creditable service for their unused sick leave; requiring
that certain trustees on the Board of Trustees for the State Retirement and
Pension System meet certain criteria; providing that certain members of the
State Police Retirement System or the Law Enforcement Officers' Pension
System are not required to designate certain beneficiaries if a reduced
retirement allowance is selected at the time of retirement; providing that certain
monthly benefit payments may not be included in the payment of certain
optional retirement allowance death benefits; providing that certain monthly
benefit payments will not be made if certain individuals die within a certain
period of time; altering the criteria for when membership ends for certain
members of certain systems included in the State Retirement and Pension
System; limiting the period of time when certain members of certain systems
included in the State Retirement and Pension System may purchase certain
service credit; prohibiting certain retirees from being rehired within a certain
period of time under certain circumstances; altering the time period for filing
certain applications for disability retirement; altering the period of time when a
certain offset to a retirement allowance is applied for certain members of the
employees' systems and the teachers' systems; providing that members of the
Employees' Pension System, Teachers' Pension System, or Law Enforcement
