FOR WHICH THE PARENT HAS NOT WAIVED THE RIGHT TO NOTICE;
3. A HEARING IN CONNECTION WITH AN ADOPTION CASE;
AND
4. AN APPEAL; and [shall]
(2) SHALL continue until [the]:
(I) THE final disposition of the cause[,]; or [until the]
(II) THE assigned attorney is relieved by the Public Defender or by
order of the court in which the cause is pending.
COMMITTEE NOTE: Chapter 464 (S.B. 710 (51rl779)/H.B.___(51r1778)), Acts
of 2005, amended provisions of this section to reflect that a parent has the
right to participate in hearings after termination of parental rights if the
parent's child has not been adopted. See In Re Adoption/Guardianship
Nos. 11387 & 11388. 354 Md. 574. 731 A.2d 972 (1999).
In subsection (d)(1)(i) of this section, the phrase "in criminal proceedings"
was added at the request of the Office of the Public Defender.

THE DEPARTMENT OF HUMAN RESOURCES SHALL MAINTAIN A WEBSITE ON
WHICH TO POST NOTICES OF PETITIONS UNDER §§ 5-316(F)(3)(II), 5-3A-15(D)(3)(II), AND
5-3B-15(D)(3)(II) OF THE FAMILY LAW ARTICLE.
