Ch. 443 2005 LAWS OF MARYLAND
(1) the agreement prohibits the use of
subcontractors that are not selected
through a competitive bid process; (2) the agreement is submitted to and
approved by the Board of Public Works;
and (3) copies of the approved agreement are
submitted to the budget committees
and the Department of Legislative
Services. The budget committees shall have 45 days
to review and comment on the report. OFFICE OF THE SECRETARY Q00A01.01 General Administration Provided that 17 vacant regular positions
shall be deleted from this budget and the amounts listed below, being funds associated with these positions, shall be
restricted and may be used only to
increase the State subsidy for employee
and retiree health insurance: $824,667 general funds Authorization is granted to transfer funds
restricted among the programs of the
budget as necessary to increase the State
subsidy for employee and retiree health
insurance. Funds not expended for this
purpose may not be expended and shall
revert or lapse into their fund of origin. General Fund Appropriation, provided that
$100,000 of this appropriation may not be
expended until the department provides a
report to notify the budget committees of
the status of the inmate medical contract.
The report shall include: (1) details about the contract award,
including a listing of selected vendors,
details about the vendors' experience - 2220 -
