ROBERT L. EHRLICH, JR., Governor                             Ch. 443 Further provided that the services provided
under such contracts shall include (1)
recruitment and screening of prospective
adoptive parents: (2) preparation of prospective parents for adoption of children with special needs: (3) identification of an appropriate child for
the prospective parent to adopt: (4) design
and implementation of a plan to transition
a child into the adoptive home: (5)
supervision and support of the family and
child for at least 12 months following the
placement to ensure the permanency of the
placement: and (6) finalization of the
adoption through the legal system.
It is the intent of the General Assembly that
the department's program shall begin on
or before January 1, 2006.
