Older Americans Act funds. $52,770 of
this appropriation may only be expended
to provide a grant to Baltimore City to
provide services to seniors.......................... 19,611,439
Special Fund Appropriation........................... 315,944
Federal Fund Appropriation, provided that
federal Older Americans Act funds shall
be distributed to local jurisdictions in the
same manner as they were in fiscal 2005
unless the General Assembly alters these
allocations by enactment of legislation
during the 2005 legislative session.
Further provided that the Deportment of
Aging shall work with representatives
from all local area agencies on aging and
other interested parties to develop the
most equitable funding formula to
distribute federal Older Americans Act
funds beginning in fiscal 2007. Further
provided that the Department of Aging
shall report the statue of its proposed
formula to the budget committees on
October 1, 2005. The budget committees
shall have 45 days to review and comment
on the proposed formula prior to its

D26A07.02 Senior Centers Operating Fund
General Fund Appropriation, provided that
this appropriation shall be reduced by
$500,000 contingent upon the enactment
of legislation reducing the mandated
amount of funds for the Senior Centers
Operating Fund, provided that $200,000
of this appropriation may not be expended
for any program or purpose except that
the funds may be transferred for use in
the Assisted Living Subsidy program to
provide subsidies to maintain seniors in
their communities.
Further provided that $150,000 of this
appropriation may not be expended for
any program or purpose except that the
funds may be transferred for use in the
Congregate Housing program to maintain
