(3) computerized physician order entry; and
(4) the cost of implementing items (1) through (3) of this subsection in
the State;
(5) the impact of the current and potential expansion on school health
records; and
(6) the impact of the current and potential expansion on patient safety,
(g) The Task Force shall report its findings to the Governor and, subject to §
2-1246 of the State Government Article, the General Assembly on or before December
31, 2006 2007.
SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall take effect
July 1, 2005. It shall remain effective for a period of 1 year 2 years and 6 months and,
at the end of December 31, 2006 2007, with no further action required by the General
Assembly, this Act shall be abrogated and of no further force and effect.

AN ACT concerning
Assisted Living Programs - Criteria for Requiring Manager Training
FOR the purpose of altering the criteria used to determine whether certain managers
of assisted living programs are required to complete a manager training course
and continuing education that meets certain requirements; and generally
relating to training requirements for assisted living managers.

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That the Laws of Maryland read as follows:
Article - Health - General
19-1807.
(a) (1) Except as provided in subsection (d) of this section, by January 1,
2006, an assisted living manager who is employed by an assisted living program that
is licensed for [17] 5 or more beds shall have completed a manager training course
that is approved by the Department and includes an examination.
