pension system [the law enforcement officers or fire fighters of the participating
governmental unit who consent to the withdrawal] ALL EMPLOYEES OF THE
PARTICIPATING GOVERNMENTAL UNIT.
(c) The legislative body of a participating governmental unit may withdraw
from participation in the Law Enforcement Officers' Pension System and transfer to a
local pension system the law enforcement officers of the participating governmental
unit who consent to the withdrawal.
SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 2005.

AN ACT concerning
Commercial Law - Antitrust - Business of Insurance
FOR the purpose of providing that certain provisions of law do not make illegal the
activity of a person engaged in the business of insurance with respect to conduct
actively regulated by the Commissioner of Insurance Maryland Insurance
Commissioner or expressly authorized by certain provisions of law; providing
that certain provisions of this Act may not be construed to prevent the
application of certain provisions of law to persons who agree to or engage in
certain acts; making a certain stylistic change; and generally relating to the
business of insurance.
BY repealing and reenacting, with amendments,

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That the Laws of Maryland read as follows:
Article - Commercial Law
11-203.
(A) This subtitle does not make illegal the activity of:
(1) A labor organization or its individual members directed solely to
lawful labor objectives, or a collective bargaining agreement between a labor
organization, as defined in 29 U.S.C. § 152(5), and an employer or group of employers,
which contains those labor objectives;
