ROBERT L. EHRLICH, JR., Governor                             Ch. 213 Article - Education 3-5B-01. (a) The Frederick County Board consists of seven members elected from the
county at large. 3-5B-04. (A)     The president [and the other members are entitled to the compensation
provided in the Frederick County budget] OF THE FREDERICK COUNTY BOARD IS
ENTITLED TO RECEIVE $11,000 ANNUALLY AS COMPENSATION, AND EACH OTHER
MEMBER OF THE FREDERICK COUNTY BOARD IS ENTITLED TO RECEIVE $10,000
ANNUALLY AS COMPENSATION. (B)     THE PRESIDENT AND ALL OTHER MEMBERS OF THE FREDERICK COUNTY
BOARD ARE ENTITLED TO HEALTH INSURANCE BENEFITS REGULARLY PROVIDED TO
EMPLOYEES OF THE FREDERICK COUNTY PUBLIC SCHOOL SYSTEM. 4-107. (e) [(8) In addition to the enumerated amount listed under paragraph (3)(vi)
of this subsection, each member of the Frederick County Board shall receive $3,000
annually as compensation plus those health insurance benefits regularly provided to
employees of the Frederick County Board.] SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That, pursuant to Article III, §
35 of the Maryland Constitution, this Act may not be construed to extend or apply to
the salary or compensation of the president of the Board of Education of Frederick
County or the members of the Board of Education of Frederick County in office on the
effective date of this Act, but the provisions of this Act concerning the salary or
compensation of the president of the Board of Education of Frederick County and the
members of the Board of Education of Frederick County shall take effect at the
beginning of the next following term of office. SECTION 3. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall take effect
October 1, 2006. Approved April 25, 2006.
