COUNTY LOCAL LAWS
Amendment No. 1 to Ordinance No. 05-04
AN ACT CONCERNING the Repeal and Readoption of the Queen Anne's County
Public Ethics Ordinance, Chapter 8 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Queen Anne's
County.
FOR THE PURPOSE of correcting certain typographical errors and outdated
references in pending County Ordinance 05-04; revising pending County Ordinance
05-04 to clarify the meaning of "electronic services" in the definition of Lobbyist;
deleting the definition of "subject to regulation by"; providing qualifications for
members of the Queen Anne's County Ethics Commission; revising the provisions on
removal from office; clarifying and revising the administration, powers and duties of
the Ethics Commission; deleting the power of the Ethics Commission to issue
subpoenas; providing for the award of reasonable attorneys fees; revising the
provisions on conflicts of interest; adding appointed officials to those persons allowed
to receive tickets or free admission under certain circumstances; clarifying the
registration requirements for a lobbyist; revising the disciplinary action provisions
and providing that violations of the Ethics Ordinance will be civil violations subject to
a fine not exceeding $1,000.00; and generally revising pending County Ordinance
05-04 regarding the Queen Anne's County Ethics Ordinance.
BY AMENDING pending County Ordinance 05-04.

Amendment No. 3 to Ordinance No. 05-04
AN ACT CONCERNING the Repeal and Readoption of the Queen Anne's County
Public Ethics Ordinance, Chapter 8 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Queen Anne's
County;
FOR THE PURPOSE of incorporating some of the revisions to pending County
Ordinance 05-04 recommended by the State Ethics Commission; revising the
provisions in pending County Ordinance 05-04 dealing with Coverage (or Jurisdiction
over County Officials and Employees), Conflicts of Interest, Financial Disclosure,
Lobbying Disclosure and Administration; changing the composition of the Queen
Anne's County Ethics Commission to three (3) persons; correcting the title of Section
8-15;
BY AMENDING pending County Ordinance 05-04 (as previously amended by
Amendment No. 1 adopted May 17, 2005).

AN ACT CONCERNING the Permitting of Circuses and Carnivals in Queen
Anne's County;
FOR THE PURPOSE of prohibiting circuses and carnivals in Queen Anne's
County unless the operator thereof is in possession of a permit issued by the County
Commissioners of Queen Anne's County; providing certain regulations and
