The Honorable Thomas V. Mike Miller, Jr.
President of the Senate
State House
Annapolis, MD 21401
Dear Mr. President:
In accordance with Article II, Section 17 of the Maryland Constitution, today I have
vetoed Senate Bill 473 - Kent County - State's Attorney - Salary.
This bill increases the salary of the State's Attorney for Kent County to 80 percent of
the salary of a judge of the District Court of Maryland; and provides that the Act does
not apply to the salary or compensation of the incumbent State's Attorney for Kent
County.
House Bill 370, which was passed by the General Assembly and signed by me,
accomplishes the same purpose. Therefore, it is not necessary for me to sign Senate
Bill 473.
Very truly yours,
Robert L. Ehrlich, Jr.
Governor

of the State's Attorney for Kent County.
BY repealing and reenacting, with amendments,
Article 10 - Legal Officials
Section 40(o)(l)
