The Honorable Thomas V. Mike Miller, Jr.
President of the Senate
State House
Annapolis, MD 21401
Dear Mr. President:
In accordance with Article II, Section 17 of the Maryland Constitution, today I have
vetoed Senate Bill 356 - Community Colleges - Funding Formulas - Adjustment.
This bill alters the Senator John A. Cade Funding Formula for the computation of
State aid to community colleges and the funding formula for Baltimore City
Community College beginning in fiscal year 2008.
House Bill 586, which was passed by the General Assembly and signed by me,
accomplishes the same purpose. Therefore, it is not necessary for me to sign Senate
Bill 356.
Very truly yours,
Robert L. Ehrlich, Jr.
Governor
Senate Bill No. 356
AN ACT concerning

FOR the purpose of altering certain formulas for the computation of certain State aid
to certain community colleges and the Baltimore City Community College for
certain fiscal years; and generally relating to State funding for community
colleges.
BY repealing and reenacting, with amendments,
Article - Education
Section 16-305(c) and 16-512(a)
