Senate Bill No. 255 AN ACT concerning                                            Correctional Officers' Retirement System - Membership FOR the purpose of altering the membership of the Correctional Officers' Retirement
System; requiring the transfer of certain employer contributions to the
accumulation fund of the Correctional Officers' Retirement System; requiring
the transfer of certain member contributions to the annuity savings fund of the
Correctional Officers' Retirement System; providing for a refund of certain
member contributions under certain circumstances; providing that certain
transfers of credit between the Employees' Retirement and Pension Systems and
the Correctional Officers' Retirement System are not governed by certain
provisions of law; and generally relating to membership in the Correctional
Officers' Retirement System. BY repealing and reenacting, with amendments,

Annotated Code of Maryland
(2004 Replacement Volume and 2005 Supplement) BY adding to Article - State Personnel and Pensions Section 25-203.1 Annotated Code of Maryland (2004 Replacement Volume and 2005 Supplement) SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That the Laws of Maryland read as follows: Article - State Personnel and Pensions 25-201.                                                                                    (a)     Except as provided in subsection (b) of this section, this subtitle applies
only to: (1)     correctional officers serving in any of the first six job classifications;
[and] (2)     security attendants at Clifton T. Perkins Hospital Center; AND (3)     AN INDIVIDUAL SERVING AS A CORRECTIONAL DIETARY,
MAINTENANCE, OR SUPPLY OFFICER. (b)     This subtitle does not apply to an employee of the Baltimore City Jail as of
June 30, 1991, who:
